Offenders documentation

Offenders is a terminal investigation and diagnostics tool for Fail2Ban. Explore historical activity and current jail state, investigate IPs and jails, export CSV reports, and press ? Help for contextual guidance. Reports are read-only with respect to Fail2Ban configuration and bans; Coverage results are manual and copy-only. GeoIP enrichment is optional.

Get started

1. Read installation and permissions for prerequisites, installation, upgrades, and rollback-safe migration.
2. Launch offenders, then use usage and controls to explore periods, summaries, jails, and individual IPs.
3. Optionally configure GeoIP and ASN enrichment or run explicit Coverage and validation.
4. Consult troubleshooting for degraded or unavailable data.
